How Spinal Cord Injury Affects Fertility

August 11, 20231 min read

Fertility gets far less attention than mobility when people discuss spinal cord injury, but the two are genuinely connected, particularly for men. The spinal cord carries the signals coordinating erections, ejaculation, and sperm production; injury to those pathways can disrupt fertility independent of any effect on mobility itself, with the specific impact varying by the injury’s severity and location.

Note: much of this original source consisted of repetitive promotional copy for Ferticare, a device sold through Inclusive Inc.'s own site, rather than substantial independent medical content — so this is condensed rather than padded to match its original length.
