Dazcat 1295XL catamaran

The Wheelchair-Accessible Yacht, Dazcat 1295X

The Dazcat 1295XL was built by Multimarine at the Multihull Centre in Millbrook, Cornwall — the same Cornish yard, and the same design partnership with naval architect Nic Bailey, behind the pioneering Impossible Dream catamaran. This particular boat was commissioned by a family with three children, each with different physical and emotional needs — and after weighing several options, including monohulls, the family settled the decision with a household vote. The Dazcat 1295 won unanimously. Launched in early 2019, the boat gave the family enough freedom and flexibility that they kept her in the water through her very first winter rather than hauling out, so they could keep using her year-round. *Based on material from The Multihull Centre / Multimarine Manufacturing, Millbrook, Cornwall, UK.
